Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when refunds may or may not be issued for consultancy services provided by GlobalQMS.in. Please read it carefully before making any payment.
No refund will be issued once work on the service has commenced.
Once we have started work on your engagement — including any gap assessment, consultation, documentation drafting, implementation support, internal audit support, training or audit preparation — the fees for that work are non-refundable, regardless of whether you choose to continue with the engagement, discontinue it, or do not obtain certification.
Summary of Policy
This section provides a short summary for quick reference. It does not replace the full policy set out below, and in case of any conflict, the full policy prevails.
Before work commences
A refund may be granted (subject to deductions for any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf). See Section 4.
After work commences
No refund will be issued once work on the service has commenced. This applies regardless of whether you continue, discontinue, or do not obtain certification. See Section 5.
If we cancel or cannot deliver
If GlobalQMS.in cancels the engagement or cannot deliver the agreed services for reasons within our control, a fair refund of unearned fees will be provided. See Section 9.
Scope & Applicability
This Refund Policy applies to all consultancy, advisory, documentation, training, internal audit support and related professional services provided by GlobalQMS.in, whether engaged directly through this website, by email, by phone, or through any written proposal or agreement.
This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Disclaimer. Where a signed proposal, quotation or engagement agreement contains refund terms that differ from this policy, the terms in that signed document shall prevail for that specific engagement.
This policy does not apply to fees payable directly to third parties — such as certification bodies, accreditation bodies, testing laboratories, government authorities or training providers. Those fees are governed by the respective third party's own policies.
Key Definitions
For the purposes of this policy:
- "Service" means any consultancy, advisory, documentation, training, internal audit support or related professional service provided by GlobalQMS.in.
- "Engagement" means a specific piece of work agreed between you and GlobalQMS.in, whether documented in a written proposal or not.
- "Fees" means the amounts payable by you to GlobalQMS.in for the Services, as set out in the applicable proposal, quotation or invoice.
- "Work Commenced" means that GlobalQMS.in has begun any substantive activity on the engagement. Section 6 below sets out examples of what this includes.
- "Third-Party Costs" means any amounts already paid or committed by GlobalQMS.in to third parties on your behalf in connection with the engagement (for example, purchase of a standard, printing, travel or subcontracted specialist input).
- "Unearned Fees" means the portion of Fees paid by you that relates to Services not yet performed by GlobalQMS.in at the date of cancellation.
Cancellation Before Work Commences
If you cancel an engagement before GlobalQMS.in has commenced work on the Service, the following applies:
- You must notify us in writing (email is sufficient) as soon as you decide to cancel;
- Any advance or deposit paid may be refunded, less any Third-Party Costs already incurred or committed by GlobalQMS.in on your behalf;
- We may also deduct reasonable administrative costs directly attributable to setting up the engagement, where applicable and where disclosed in advance;
- Refunds under this section will be processed within the timeframe stated in Section 11.
Whether work has commenced is determined by objective evidence — such as the date of our first working session, the date we first issued draft materials, or the date we first incurred Third-Party Costs on your behalf. If there is any uncertainty, we will discuss the position with you transparently.
No Refund After Work Commences
Once work on the Service has commenced, no refund will be issued.
This is a firm and central part of our policy. Consultancy is a professional service involving the allocation of skilled time, expertise and resources. Once work has begun, those resources cannot be recovered or reallocated, and the value of the work performed is delivered to you — whether or not you ultimately continue the engagement.
Accordingly, no refund will be issued once work has commenced, including (without limitation) in the following situations:
- You decide to discontinue the engagement for your own convenience, change of priorities, or change of management;
- You decide to engage a different consultant or handle the work internally;
- Your organization fails to obtain ISO certification, or obtains it later than anticipated;
- Your organization decides not to proceed to certification;
- You disagree with recommendations made by GlobalQMS.in in the course of the engagement;
- Delays occur which are outside our reasonable control;
- You are dissatisfied with the progress of a multi-stage engagement after substantial work has been delivered on earlier stages.
Where an engagement is terminated mid-way, any Fees already invoiced or due for work performed up to the date of termination become immediately payable, and any advance paid is applied against those Fees. If the advance exceeds the value of work performed, the excess (after deducting any Third-Party Costs) may be refunded at our reasonable discretion — but this is not an entitlement, and will be assessed case by case.
What Counts as "Work Commenced"
For the avoidance of doubt, "work commenced" includes (but is not limited to) any of the following actions by GlobalQMS.in:
- Conducting a gap assessment, initial review or scoping session with your team;
- Holding consultation meetings (in person, by phone or by video call) dedicated to the engagement;
- Drafting, reviewing or customizing any documentation, procedure, register, manual or template for your organization;
- Preparing a written proposal, implementation plan or project schedule specific to your engagement;
- Delivering training, briefings or awareness sessions to your personnel;
- Conducting or supporting internal audits, management reviews or mock audits;
- Preparing you for a certification audit, or liaising with a certification body on your behalf;
- Purchasing a standard, form or material on your behalf;
- Incurring travel, printing, courier or other engagement-specific costs;
- Engaging a specialist or subcontractor to contribute to your engagement.
The list above is illustrative, not exhaustive. If you are unsure whether work has commenced on your engagement, contact us and we will confirm the position in writing.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable in all circumstances:
- Any fees for work already performed at the date of cancellation;
- Any advance or deposit applied against work performed;
- Third-Party Costs already incurred or committed by GlobalQMS.in on your behalf;
- Fees for completed stages in a multi-stage engagement;
- Any fees paid directly to certification bodies, accreditation bodies, testing laboratories, government authorities or other third parties (these are governed by the third party's own policy);
- Amounts paid for services that have been fully delivered, even if you later choose not to use the outputs.
Exceptional Circumstances
We recognize that genuine, exceptional circumstances can arise. Where work has commenced but a serious and unforeseen event prevents the engagement from continuing — for example, a documented medical emergency, a natural disaster, or a change in law that makes the engagement impossible — we will review the situation in good faith and consider, at our discretion, a partial credit or refund of Unearned Fees.
Any such decision is made case by case. It is not an entitlement and does not create a precedent. To request consideration under this section, please contact us in writing with supporting documentation.
If We Cancel or Cannot Deliver
If GlobalQMS.in cancels an engagement, or is unable to deliver the agreed Services for reasons within our reasonable control, we will:
- Notify you promptly in writing;
- Refund any Unearned Fees paid by you, calculated fairly against the value of work performed and any Third-Party Costs already incurred;
- Where possible, help transition you to an alternative arrangement if you wish.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws in India or any mandatory statutory rights that cannot be excluded by agreement.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund (or a review of your fees), please contact us in writing with the following information:
- Your full name and organization name;
- The date of your engagement, quotation or invoice;
- The invoice number and amount paid;
- The reason for your request;
- Any supporting documentation you wish us to consider;
- Your preferred method of contact for our reply.
Please send your request to [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request", or call us at +91 98765 43210.
We will acknowledge your request within 2 working days and provide a substantive response within 10 working days, setting out our assessment and the reasons for our decision.
Processing & Timelines
Where a refund is approved under this policy:
- Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment, unless we agree otherwise in writing;
- Approved refunds will typically be processed within 10 to 15 working days of approval;
- Bank or payment gateway processing times may add further days before the amount is visible in your account;
- Any applicable taxes already remitted to government authorities may not be recoverable and may reduce the refundable amount;
- No interest is payable on any refunded amount.
Chargebacks & Disputes
We ask that you contact us first before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider. In nearly all cases, a direct conversation resolves the matter faster and more fairly than a formal dispute process.
Where a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated without prior contact, and where work has already commenced on the Service, we reserve the right to:
- Provide our records of work performed to the relevant payment provider as evidence in defence of the dispute;
- Suspend any ongoing Services while the dispute is unresolved;
- Recover any amounts we reasonably believe are properly due, together with any reasonable costs incurred in responding to the dispute.
Where a chargeback is resolved in your favour for amounts that were not properly refundable under this policy, we reserve the right to seek recovery of those amounts through lawful means.
